Danny Ramirez To Co-Star Opposite Joaquin Phoenix In Todd Haynes Next Movie

deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: Top Gun: Maverick breakout actor Danny Ramirez is set to star opposite Joaquin Phoenix in an untitled Detective pic from director Todd Haynes.
Details have been thin on the ground so far, but the movie is said to follow two men, one played by Joaquin Phoenix, who are intense lovers and leave California for Mexico.
Additional casting is underway. Haynes’ regular producer Christine Vachon is producing as well as Pam Koffler. The screenplay was developed by Haynes along with Phoenix and Jon Raymond.
Ramirez will be seen next in Marvel’s Captain America: New World Order where he will reprise his role as Joaquin Torres, from the Marvel series The Falcon & The Winter Soldier, where he co-starred opposite Anthony Mackie.
