Daniel Wroughton Craig (born 2 March 1968) is an English actor. After training at the National Youth Theatre and graduating from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1991, Craig began his career on stage. Daniel Craig has confessed he thought the makers of James Bond had ‘got the wrong guy’ when he was offered the iconic role.The actor, 53, who is preparing to say goodbye to Bond after over 16 years, made the comment at a Bafta event in London which looked back on his career ahead of the new installment in the franchise.Craig first played 007 in 2006’s Casino Royale and is preparing for the release of his fifth and final James Bond film, No Time To Die.The star shared his initial shock at being cast in the once-in-a-lifetime role, explaining he never imagined it would happen to him.He initially expressed doubt during a conversation with producer Barbara Broccoli, whom he told: ‘Thank you, flattering, but I think you’ve got the wrong.
