The Ministry of Defence (MOD) will test live ammunition and explosives in the Castlelaw and Dreghorn Training Area (CDTA) in the Pentlands near Edinburgh.

Officials will conduct the tests for 29 days throughout October, Edinburgh Live reports. The area of farmland has been used for training exercises like these since the First World War.But while the tests are a regularity in the area, a red flag warning has been put in place throughout this month.Around 20 exercises are expected to take place over full days as
