The results are in: The same number of people who last watched Dancing with the Stars on ABC in 2021 came back to watch the September 26 season premiere.
According to Live+3 results from Nielsen, 6.50 million viewers tuned in to watch Matt Walsh become the first celebrity to get the old heave-ho from the ballroom.
The hourlong premiere averaged a 1.08 rating among adults 18-49. ABC says the premiere held even with the series’ prior season on ABC in fall 2021, when it averaged 6.50 million viewers.
