Phillip Schofield was left 'shaking with nerves' as he presented Dancing On Ice for the first time after he came out as gay.
The 57-year-old returned to screens to present the ITV ice dancing contest less than two years after he emotionally announced his news alongside co-host and best friend Holly Willoughby on This Morning.
Phillip was left overwhelmed when the audience cheered him on and judge Ashley Banjo paid tribute to him Now, Diversity star Ashley has revealed what he thought in the moment and how Phil was backstage before the show started.
Speaking to The Sun Online he said: "I didn't plan to make him cry but I said what I felt in the moment. It just felt right. "Before the show he was shaking with nerves backstage.
