Dancing On Ice fans have been left devastated after two stars of the show have confirmed that they have quit the series. Having first launched on our screens back in 2006, Dancing On Ice has seen celebrities including Jake Quickenden, Ray Quinn and Ryan Thomas attempt to learn, as the title suggests, how to dance on ice.
And with the 17th series of the show set to begin in January, a whole new host of famous faces such as Ferne McCann, Michaela Strachan and Chris Taylor are currently busy training in a bid to master the art of ice skating.
However, two iconic Dancing On Ice stars have announced that the upcoming series will be their last. Among those is Mark Hanretty, who joined the ITV show in 2011 and was paired with Adele Roberts last year. “I’m back!
Hard to believe I’m embarking on my 12th series of Dancing on Ice,” he wrote on Instagram. “I’m as excited as ever and so grateful for the chance to work on the greatest show on ice once again.This will be my last year as a pro skater and I’m eager to soak up every second of it!
