Dan Walker's daughter rushed to hospital with suspected broken finger

Dan Walker has revealed his daughter has been taken to hospital with a suspected broken finger. The presenter, 45, who recently quit BBC Breakfast to join Channel 5 news, shared the news on social media on Sunday morning.

Sharing a picture of his daughter’s hand on Twitter, with one of her fingers looking incredibly sore and blue, he wrote: “Currently in A & E with our daughter who has a suspected broken finger, 4 hour wait has begun.” Dan shares two daughters, Jessica and Susanna, with wife of 20 years Sarah.They also have a son, Joe, and live in Sheffield with their dog, Winnie.

While he didn’t reveal which daughter had sustained the injury, he responded to a Tweet about emergency waiting times in way of an update on her progress. “Not moaning,” he replied, adding: “The hospital is brilliant and they are understaffed today because of “unforeseen absences” (there is a sign up).
