The star’s only daughter, Chloe, recently vowed to carry on her mother’s work, declaring that ‘the torch has been passed’ and she wanted to honour her mother’s legacy.
Part of that work included promoting Melbourne’s annual Walk for Wellness cancer fundraising event, with family members travelling Down Under especially for the event.
It was initially reported that Chloe and Dame Olivia’s widower, John Easterling, were too grief-stricken to attend the walk, and while Chloe herself did not walk, she said it was ‘beautiful’ to see so many people come out in support of the late film star.
