Dame Deborah James sadly lost her five year fight with bowel cancer at the age of 40 on Tuesday, with the heartbreaking news shared on her Bowelbabe Instagram page.
The BBC star, who shot to fame for her You, Me and The Big C podcast, first announced she was receiving end of life care back in May and had moved back in with her parents as she stopped undergoing treatment for her cancer.
It was during this time that Deborah decided to set up a fundraiser called the Bowelbabe Fund, with the intention of raising money for Cancer Research UK to help others beat the cruel disease that was killing her.
In a defiant message when first launching her campaign, Deborah wrote: "So, I suppose this is the message I never wanted to get to!
