Cast and crew at EastEnders held a minute's silence for Barbara Windsor on set today – including those working in her beloved Queen Vic.
For well over a decade Barbara starred in the BBC soap and was famously landlord of the pub where she enjoyed working as feisty character Peggy Mitchell and would regularly yell “get outta my pub” at the top of her voice.
But silence fell in and around Albert Square after senior staff made a short speech as Barbara's life was remembered in the studios at BBC Elstree Centre in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire.
A show source said: “We had two units working and on both some sincere words were said and then there was a period of silence to remember her.
