Dalbeattie Running Club holds prizegiving evening for winter league

dailyrecord.co.ukThe club celebrated its first winter league with a prizegiving evening and meal recently which was very well supported and enjoyed by all.
The prizewinners were: Male: 1 Neil Little; 2= Guy Wight and Joe Boardman; 3 Callum Dunn. Female: 1 Kim Campbell; 2 Pauline Boardman; 3 Vanessa Bryson.
Most improved runner (voted by the whole club): Margie Bryson and Ian Brydson. A special mention was given to Kirsty Sturrock who was presented with a bunch of flowers for organising the event and having played a major part in relaunching the club.
The club’s summer league is now well under way with three events having already taken place. The first race was a tough forest route near Colvend, with Callum Dunn taking the honours.
