Actress Daisy Edgar-Jones previously revealed that it was she was terrified about her grandparents seeing her sex scenes in Normal People.

The much-hailed intimate scenes take up a lot of the series and Daisy confessed that she had to watch them with her boyfriend.

Which can’t have been easy! Speaking on the How to Fail with Elizabeth Day podcast, Daisy admitted that her partner, actor Tom Varey, did find it a bit awkward. ‘My boyfriend actually, he was amazing because what a tricky thing to watch.

He loves the series, thank goodness. That’s something I’m very relieved about,’ she admitted. ‘But, there was a moment in episode six where he was like: “This is a bit weird.
