Daft Punk have split after 28 years as a music duo, bringing their long-running partnership to an end. Their representative, Kathryn Frazier, confirmed the group's breakup in a statement shared with Pitchfork, giving no explanation for their decision.
The duo broke the news in a creative fashion, releasing an eight-minute "Epilogue" video, which was taken from their Electroma film, which had originally been released in 2006.
Shared on their YouTube channel, a title of the video read: "1993–2021."Made up of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, Daft Punk are responsible for some of the most popular dance tracks of all time.
