thesun.co.ukDAFT Punk have split up after 28 years of making music together. The French electronic dance music act – Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo – announced their retirement with a video titled "Epilogue" that they posted today.
The Get Lucky hitmakers are rarely seen without their robot helmets and wear the disguises as they bid fans a final farewell.
The eight minute video sees the pair walking around the desert in their helmets and wearing their trademark 'Daft Punk' leather jackets.
After a few moments, one of the robots looks at the other, takes his jacket off and reveals an energy pack on the back. The other robot touches a button on the pack and the first one walks away quickly, and then explodes in dramatic scenes.
