A dad who tried to pin the blame for his seven-week-old baby's death on his mum has has been convicted of culpable homicide.
Brian Penn, 30, carried out the fatal attack on tiny Kaleb Penn at his home in Ayr, South Ayrshire, on November 1, 2017. Penn violently shook Kaleb and inflicted an unknown blunt force trauma on him, causing him injuries akin to those suffered in either "a fall from a height or a road traffic accident".
The High Court in Glasgow heard the stricken child suffered a skull fracture, a bleed to the brain, a serious brain injury and fractured ribs, the Daily Record reports.
