A Liverpool dad has said "instinct" led to him to give police a tip-off which was crucial to catching James Bulger's killers.
Alex Radnor-Boulton, 70, told the Liverpool Echo how a hunch of his gave detectives an unexpected lead in the case. Alex, who was 43 when the little boy was murdered, correctly guessed the route the killers would have taken - meaning CCTV footage could be identified.
He worked for Tynwald Electrical Services and spent a lot of his days in the area around the Bootle Strand shopping centre - from where James was taken by killers Jon Venables and Robert Thompson.
