A young schoolboy has died after being found with critical injuries in a nearby garden just minutes away from his home. Joey Vines, 6, was discovered just over one hour after he was reported missing by his family yesterday at about 4pm.
The search for Joey ended in heartbreak after he was found unresponsive and reportedly naked in the garden pool of a neighbour in Perth, Western Australia.
He was given CPR and emergency treatment by paramedics assisted by police officers who were first responders at the scene. However, after being rushed in an ambulance to nearby Fiona Stanley Hospital, little Joey sadly died, according to ABC News.His death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be sent to the state coroner, police have said.
