Dad-of-five left seriously injured in horror smash which killed two people

in Pendlebury. The 60-year-old, from Salford, was travelling along Bolton Road when he collided with a Renault Megane just before 7am on July 12.

Thomas Ashley and John Hughes, who were in the Renault, sadly died as a result of their injuries. Mark was rushed to Salford Royal Hospital where his condition was stabalised.

He suffered chest injuries, abdominal injuries, broken ribs, a broken leg and a broken ankle.He has recently been discharged from hospital and now has metal plates in his leg and ankle to help heal his broken bones.It is unclear whether he can ever return to his job as a tiler.His wife Anita said: “It’s hard.
