A dad who was jailed for punching Jack Grealish was found dead after his release following a struggle with drink and drugs, an inquest heard.
Paul Mitchell was locked up for four weeks after punching the football star during the Aston Villa v Birmingham City derby in March 2019, Birmingham Live reports.
He was sentenced again a couple of years later to six weeks in jail for breaching a football banning order but, following his release, Mitchell was drinking up to 15 cans of cider a day, an inquest into his death heard.
The 31-year-old then began taking drugs and suffering from mental from mental health issues, Birmingham Coroner's Court heard.
