A dad who was severely injured during the Manchester Arena terror attack claims that he has been 'unfairly' denied full compensation from the government.41-year-old Phil Hassell had to be placed in an induced coma so that medics could operate on his brain and remove shrapnel from his leg, following the blast on May 22, 2017.Manchester Evening News reports that he spent months in hospital and was unable to go back to his job as a scaffolder for over three years due to the severity of his injuries.
The dad-of-two, who attended the concert with his daughters, states that he has not been paid the amount of criminal injury compensation he believes he is owed since the atrocity.
