A man faked a DNA test so he could avoid paying child maintenance for his two sons. Steven Dixon, 39, went to extreme lengths to avoid being identified as the boys' father by asking a friend to provide a swab for him.
The 39-year-old told his friend it was so that he could claim he was not his alcoholic father's son. But when the boys' mums told the Child Maintenance Service that Dixon was the dad, an investigation was launched.
In October 2015 and February 2016 the service received applications from two women claiming that Dixon was the father of their sons and requesting support.
Dixon, from Warrington, was contacted by the Child Maintenance Service (CMS) and he sent off for a DNA testing kit that was delivered to Deerness Park Medical
