A dad-of-four tragically died in his family bathroom on Boxing Day, just a few days after being sent home from hospital with painkillers after suffering chest pains.Firefighters had to break down the door to reach Kevin Burnett after he collapsed behind it.
However, by the time medics were finally able to reach the 47-year-old, he had already died.Kevin, from Abbey Hulton in Stoke-on-Trent, had been in pain for around a week prior to his death, but a cause has not yet been established.
His family say they are "in complete disarray" but suspect a health issue could have been missed by doctors.His heartbroken daughter Kelsey said: "The day he passed away, he got up early in the morning and then collapsed behind the bathroom door," she told StokeonTrentLive. "Because of that, they couldn’t get behind the door so the fire service had to come and cut the door off.
By the time they’d got in, he’d already gone."He’d been suffering with chest pains for about a week before he passed away. He went to the hospital a few days prior and got sent home with co-codamol. "We don’t know the cause of death.
