A dad has described the horrific moment his three-year-old boy was mauled by a dog in a park and rushed to hospital with arm injuries.
Daniel Parry said the animal jumped on his toddler, Luca, as they were leaving a playground in Liverpool. The 34-year-old quickly ran to his son, who had teeth marks on his arm and flesh hanging off, and the dog let go.
The owner allegedly fled the scene while workers from a nearby play centre used their first aid kit to stop the bleeding, reports Liverpool Echo.
Doctors later told Daniel "it was lucky" Luca did not suffer nerve or artery damage. The 34-year-old, from Wooton Village, now wants to raise awareness about the incident to stop other children from being attacked by the same dog.
