The Tony-winning actress will be playing the role of Elphaba, the green witch, in the upcoming film adaptation of the beloved Broadway musical.
Wicked will be split into two parts, with part one being released in November 2024 and the second film following in 2025. In a new post on Instagram, Cynthia wrote an emotional note about the filming process and shared a photo of the script, which had the title card.
