Cyclist rushed to hospital with serious injuries after hit and run on Scots roundabout

A cyclist was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a hit and run on a Scots roundabout. The cyclist was travelling on the B822 at the Kippen roundabout, Stirling, around 5.50pm on Tuesday September 27, when a black Ford Ranger towing a silver Ifor Williams trailer, hit them.

The 45-year-old woman sustained serious injuries in the incident and was rushed to Forth Valley Royal Hospital for treatment.

The driver failed to stop at the scene and police are urgently trying to locate them. Anyone with information on the incident is being urged to get in touch as officers try to trace the driver of the black Ford Ranger.

Sergeant Jack Swindells, from Forth Valley’s Road Policing Unit, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing into the full circumstances of what happened and we are keen to speak to anyone who has information that could help with our investigation. “The black Ford Ranger and trailer were in the area at the time of the collision and we are keen to speak with the driver. “We are asking anyone who saw the vehicle either before or after the crash to get in touch.
