Cyclist left with 'life threatening' injuries following serious crash in Bolton

A cyclist was rushed to hospital with 'life threatening' injuries following a serious crash involving a van on a busy road in Bolton.

Emergency services, including an air ambulance were called to Chorley New Road (A673) following reports of the collision yesterday (October 17).

Police were called to the incident at around 4.20pm which happened on Chorley New Road close to the junction with Lostock Junction Lane.

Rush hour delays were caused, diversions were put in place and an air ambulance landed nearby following the collision.
