Richard Lewis, who is best known for his iconic role in Enthusiasm, has tragically died at 76 years old as heartfelt tributes pour in from fans.
His publicist, Jeff Abraham, revealed the sad news on Wednesday 28 February. Jeff shared with Deadline: "His wife, Joyce Lapinsky, thanks everyone for all the love, friendship and support and asks for privacy at this time." He sadly passed away at his home in LA after a heart attack, just one year after finding out he had Parkinson's disease.
Beloved fans shared their heartfelt tributes about the actor online, as one person said: "On a sad note, the great Richard Lewis has died", while another added: "RIP Richard Lewis.
A brilliantly funny man who will missed by all.The world needed him now. more than ever". Speaking highly of the actor, a third added: "Richard Lewis was not just a comic but somebody left everything on the table.
