Cult Beauty reveal most Googled skincare ingredients for 2020 that really work

Now during the first few months of lockdown some of us took to the extra time inside to bake, read, start a new hobby and take part in online gym classes, while others improved their skincare regime.

So, it’s no surprise that online retailer, Cult Beauty, has let us into a little secret and revealed what most of us have been googling when it comes to skincare ingredients.

It turns out vitamin C is the most searched for ingredient, followed by searches about squalane, retinol and niacinamide, totalling almost two million queries so far this year.

For 2020, clay is being hailed as key trendy skincare ingredient, and has seen the biggest year on year increase in online searches - it's up by a whopping 217%.
