Tyrick Mitchell has agreed a new deal with Crystal Palace that will keep him at the club until 2025. The 21-year-old left-back has been handed improved terms as a reward for the progress he has made in establishing himself as a key part of Roy Hodgson’s first-team plans.
He has made 13 appearances this season and has kept Holland international Patrick van Aanholt out of the starting line-up on several occasions.
Arsenal looked at signing Mitchell in January, as well as Van Aanholt, as they sought cover for Kieran Tierney. But Palace moved to fend off interest from the Gunners by handing him a four-year extension.
