Crufts winner Maisie does a poo in the middle of victory lap, becomes internet star

It’s an accolade that celebrates a dog’s agility, grace and obedience. But Crufts winner Maisie sullied her Best In Show winning moment by doing a nice big poo on during her victory lap.

The poor pooch just couldn’t contain her excitement as she was led around the famous course with her owner Kim McCalmont. But rather than turn their nose up at the Wire Haired Dachshund’s actions, fans were delighted by it.

Responsible Kim straight away retrieved a bag from her pocket and cleaned up the mess, like all dog owners should. Maisie's incident was the latest in a line of funny moments during this year’s competition.

Cheeky runner up Frankie the Poodle jumped up on to Maisie's first place plinth while she was receiving her trophy and rosette.
