‘Cruel royals must reinstate Harry’s security before it’s too late,’ claims expert
ok.co.ukPrince Harry and Meghan Markle are still at war with the Royal Family over their security needs.The Sussexes’ unofficial biographer Omid Scobie spoke about Harry’s lawsuit against the Home Office after his security needs were denied.
Writing for Yahoo! News, he claimed that Harry never asked for the public or our government to pay for his security. “It seems cruel in the extreme to allow Prince Andrew round-the-clock police protection, but not the future King's son,” he said. "It comes across as the Establishment punishing Harry, yet again, for breaking away from the Firm and sharing his experiences publicly." The only way to end this battle, he claimed, is to “reinstate Harry’s access to security at his own expense - before it’s too late.” According to Harry’s lawyers, the prince was forced to limit visits to the UK as his American security team doesn’t have ‘adequate jurisdiction’ here - meaning they have less power.
Back in February 2022 the Home Office opted to stop Harry getting British police personal security while on UK soil, even if he paid for it himself.
Security isn’t the only battle on Harry’s hands, either. His feud with Prince William shows no signs of calming down and now the Cambridges are planning a trip to America, reportedly without a visit to the Sussexes.
