Cross Creek Pictures Acquires Unpublished New Orleans Manuscript ‘Trucked Up’ For TV

EXCLUSIVE: Cross Creek Pictures has acquired all film and television rights to the unpublished literary manuscript “Trucked Up” by YTE Truck, a New Orleans-based author.

Cross Creek also acquired an accompanying hip hop music soundtrack, Straight Outta the Beautiful Underbelly of New Orleans. That is by New Orleans rapper Cape Mr.

500, formerly with No Limit Records and Juvenile’s UPT Records. Trucked Up paints a disturbing roller coaster of chaos, tragedy, and self-inflicted torment inspired by author YTE Truck’s personal struggles with addiction, mental illness, and personal relationships living as a corporate lawyer by day and deranged addict by night in New Orleans.

The album is produced by New Orleans music producers Mike Bass and Mark Levy. “We are incredibly excited to acquire Trucked Up,” said Cross Creek Pictures President Tyler Thompson.  “The manuscript is a unique New Orleans story that can only be told by a native and its personal messages are relevant and inspiring.
