The Croods: A New Age is on top again. The animated sequel once again topped the domestic box office, grossing just over $2 million in its twelfth week of release, and just under $49 million overall amid the pandemic, Variety reported Sunday (February 14).
The film narrowly beat out Judas and the Black Messiah, which opened to $2 million, and is projected to gross $2.4 million and should end the weekend in second or third place. “These meagre grosses come as much of the domestic box office remains shuttered due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The box office was also negatively impacted by winter storms, as they swept across the Midwest and barreled towards the Northeast.
