Strictly Come Dancing producers are reportedly keeping Anton Du Beke on the show's judging panel, meaning Bruno Tonioli might be axed.Due to the pandemic, the 66-year-old Italian native has not appeared on the BBC show in person for the last two years.In 2020 Bruno - who judges the US version of the dancing show Dancing With the Stars - appeared via video link from his home in LA.In 2021, Strictly saw dancer Anton hang up his dancing shoes and take his place at the judging panel alongside Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas and Motsi Mabuse.It's been teased that Bruno, who has starred on the show for 16 years and is currently on the Strictly tour as a judge, would not be returning to the hit BBC show this year.In an exclusive chat with The Sun, a source said: "We have been told Anton's contract as a judge is going to be renewed. The bosses were really happy with his performance.""It also hasn't escaped their notice his salary is considerably lower than Bruno's."They revealed that there is a "huge amount of affection" for him on the BBC show and that the decision will "ruffle some feathers".However, because the judging panel format worked well last year, it is believed that bosses are reluctant to switch it up again.The announcement comes after the Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood showed his support for welcoming Bruno back to the show.

Chloé Zhao's Nomadland dominated the nominations for the 2021 Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) International Awards with six mentions across 11 categories. On Friday, as the competition for the 10th AACTA International Awards, including new global TV categories, were unveiled, Zhao's American road movie continued its run as an early awards season contender by picking up best director and best screenplay nominations and a best actress mention for Frances McDormand for her role in Nomadland.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the body which oversees the Oscars, has revealed the early contenders for its so-called ‘below-the-line’ categoriesSoul, Mank and Da 5 Bloods are among the films that featured in some of the nine shortlists unveiled ahead of the 93rd Academy Awards, due to take place in April. Mank, David Fincher’s black-and-white ode to old Hollywood, was included on the lists for makeup and hairstyling, original score and visual effects.

Mank reps the fourth feature between the filmmaker and the composers, the latter who immediately took home the Oscar and Golden Globe in the first noms for their score of 2010’s The Social Network.

In a year in which most Americans were homebound due to the coronavirus pandemic, the streamers dominated the 78th annual Golden Globe Awards nominations with an overwhelming 68 mentions spanning film and TV. Still, when it came to the top film category, best motion picture drama, the traditional theatrical distributors held their ground, accounting for three of the five nominations.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association often differs with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences when it comes to films not in the English language. Case in point this year, two titles not eligible in the International Feature Oscar race made the cut with the Golden Globes this morning as both Italy’s The Life Ahead and A24’s Korean-American family drama Minari scored nominations in the Best Motion Picture – Foreign Language category. As a U.S. production, Minari does not qualify for the Oscars’ similar category, but can compete in all others there.

This year’s Golden Globes took a leap forward in representation terms with women landing three of the five nods in its Best Director Motion Picture field.
