mirror.co.ukCristiano Ronaldo scored twice but was unable to save Juventus from a Champions League exit at the hands of Lyon. A Memphis Depay penalty gave Lyon the lead on the night in Turin, and doubled their advantage from the first leg.
Ronaldo then struck either side of half-time, but was unable to find the third goal his side needed. Leading 1-0 from the first leg back in February, and having only played in one competitive match since coronavirus saw Ligue 1 being curtailed early, it took the French side less than 10 minutes to stun their hosts.
Houssem Aouar raced into the Juve box and was caught by Rodrigo Bentancur, although the contact did seem to be minimal and rather late.
