Manchester United are reportedly exploring the possibility of terminating Cristiano Ronaldo ’s contract. The Portuguese star has this week taken aim at the club and manager Erik ten Hag in an explosive interview with Piers Morgan.
Ronaldo said he had “no respect” for the Dutch coach, who he claims failed to integrate him properly in the red half of Manchester.
The former Real Madrid frontman did admit he regretted refusing to come on as a late sub against Tottenham and leaving Old Trafford, but insisted he was provoked into such action by Ten Hag trying to put him on with only three minutes to go.
That came amidst criticism of the standards on show at the club, which Ronaldo said hadn’t progressed since Sir Alex Ferguson left in 2013.
