A quick-thinking MP followed a would-be thief acting suspiciously while waiting for police to arrive.Allan Dorans, 64, came to the rescue after spotting a man in a plush Ayr garden on Friday morning.The former police officer was out training for the Kiltwalk when he saw the 36-year-old looking into the window of a property on Doonfoot Road – where houses are valued at just under £400k.He phoned 999 and followed the suspect until police arrived.Mr Dorans told the Post: “I was out walking at about 6am when I noticed a man acting suspiciously in the garden.“He was dressed all in grey with a hoody top on and he went up to a caravan which was parked in the drive and started looking in the window.“Then he went up to the front window of the house
