‘Crazy Rich Asians’ TV Series From Adele Lim, Jon M. Chu & Kevin Kwan Gains Momentum At Max With Development Room
deadline.comMax’s Crazy Rich Asians TV series has officially opened a development room led by Adele Lim who will serve as executive producer, writer and showrunner.
Lim co-wrote the script for the hit Crazy Rich Asians feature from Warner Bros. released in 2018 with Peter Chiarelli. Alongside Lim (via her 100 Tigers prod co), executive producers will also include Jon M.
Chu (via his Electric Somewhere banner), who directed the film, and Kevin Kwan, who authored the novel of the same name that inspired the film and the upcoming series.
Warner Bros. TV is the studio. We understand there have been unofficial conversations with the original cast about possibly returning; however, there is no creative direction for the season, so it would be too early to speculate on the storyline.
