Thousands of revellers flocked to Glasgow Green on Friday for the first day of Scotland's biggest music festival TRNSMT.Fans were overjoyed as they descended on the fairground area of the festival to find out Friday's surprise performance was by no one other than music legend Craig David, later joined by Wes Nelson, who seamlessly blended in with the crowds with a bucket hat and sunglasses.

The pair - who were not a part of the festival’s original line-up - performed to an intimate audience of mega fans who had been selected thanks to Rockstar Energy Drink, festival sponsors, to watch from a bumper car just metres from the star.

The scene, the culture, it's the fans and what they live for. They scream just a little louder."Touching on their surprise performance on Friday, Wes, 26, said: "It was so good, I didn't know what to expect - as obviously there's alot of things that could go wrong with the surprise element but the first thing we said when we both came off was 'that was so smooth'."The crowd were so lively."Craig added: "We love the surprise aspect of a surprise gig, when someone knows whose performing they're geared up and ready but when you're doing an impromptu performance like that, which is so out of context, it's almost like if you're there you're there and if you aren't you've missed it.
