A 71-year-old man had been walking the distance between his house and his car when a man approached him and 'forcibly' grabbed a bag he was carrying.It caused the elderly man to fall on the floor and he was left with injuries to his face and knees.He also dislocated his elbow and required hospital treatment.The offender is then believed to have made off on foot towards College Road, Whalley Range.Police are now appealing for anyone who saw the incident to come forward and help with their enquiries.DI Chris Aunins of GMP’s City of Manchester division, said: “This was a cowardly and opportunistic attack in which an elderly gentleman has been left with multiple injuries.“GMP takes offences like this incredibly seriously and we.
