Brits have more interest in their immune system than ever before because of Covid - but many of us still don't know how it actually works, a study has found.
A poll of 2,000 adults found while nine in 10 know their immune system is vital to their general health and well-being, more than a quarter have no idea what it really does.
One in six even believe it is one single organ - like the heart or liver - instead of a complex system involving different cells, tissues and other parts of the body.
Less than four in 10 knew that the spleen has a key role in the system, while just 22 per cent were aware that the tonsils play a part. What do you think?
