Covid rates among pupils hit pandemic peak in these two areas of Greater Manchester

While bubbles of children are no longer being asked to isolate, the virus is still having a huge impact on schoolchildren, with rates highest among those aged 10 to 14.

In Stockport and Tameside the figures for those age groups are the highest they've been throughout the pandemic - 1,478 pupils and 1,260 respectively for the week ending September 18.

Stockport's figure is 68% up on the previous week and almost 206% up since the beginning of September, while Tameside's is 76% up in a week and 121%
