A couple who had booked themselves on a "never ending" cruise, which has been unexpectedly stationary in Belfast for the past three months, have turned their waiting period into an adventure by travelling to various countries.

Passengers set for a global voyage aboard the Villa Vie Residences' Odyssey have found themselves stuck in Belfast due to multiple delays affecting their journey.

While many passengers have settled into an extended stay in Belfast as they await departure, Lanette Canen and Johan Bodin, both aged 54, have opted to spend their time visiting Norway, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, and Sweden.

Johan, a retired carpenter hailing from Sweden, expressed his frustration: "We've had good time but we didn't sign up for a ship to stay in one port!"
