A couple travelling to Cardiff to deliver Christmas presents to relatives were stopped by police for breaking coronavirus laws.
South Wales Police pulled over the pair, who had driven from Essex, after they were issued with powers to randomly stop and fine drivers from 9am on Friday.
The operation aims to stop people from outside Wales from travelling into the country this weekend. South Wales Police said they stopped 110 vehicles in the first 24 hours of the random checks in the Welsh capital.
A total of 12 people were fined and 15 others were warned and asked to leave Cardiff on Friday. The couple who were stopped had driven around 200 miles to deliver the presents despite being banned from doing so as England is still in a lockdown
