Country singer Jimmie Allen and his wife Alexis are opening about their one-year-old daughter Zara James' bout with RSV weeks after she was born in October of 2021, as she 'went completely blue' at one point.RSV, according to the CDC, is short for Respiratory syncytial virus which 'is a common respiratory virus that usually causes mild, cold-like symptoms' and 'can be serious, especially for infants and older adults.'The condition 'is the most common cause of bronchiolitis (inflammation of the small airways in the lung) and pneumonia (infection of the lungs) in children younger than 1 year of age in the United States,' the national health agency said.

(He is also father to son Aadyn, eight, from a previous relationship.) 'When they're that young, they're always sick every other day and get us sick, so we didn't really think too much about it,' Alexis told the publication. 'And then Zara was sick a little longer, probably close to two weeks, and I was a little concerned about it.'Alexis said that after Zara 'started sounding and looking different,' things 'just didn't seem right' and they visited a hospital to check on her.
