Councillors have approved several major contract awards as part of ongoing efforts to increase housing in North Lanarkshire.McTaggart Construction will receive up to £8.75 million in return for 35 homes to be built on the former St Brigid’s Primary School site in Newton Drive, Newmains, while a separate award of £4.5 million will see JR Construction build homes at Coshneuk Road in Millerston.In Wishaw, G3 Consultant Engineers will be contracted for a £300,000 project to demolish Anvil Block in Main Street.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
