Phylicia Rashad faced a backlash from fans after calling Bill Cosby's released from prison "a terrible wrong being righted".
The actress who starred alongside the 83-year-old as his on-screen wife Clair Huxtable from 1984 to 1992 on The Cosby Show tweeted shortly after his release.
She wrote: "FINALLY!!!! A terrible wrong is being righted – a miscarriage of justice is corrected!" However, she was quickly met by angry fans who hit out at her comments.
And the backlash led to her penning another tweet where she claimed her message was not "intended to be insensitive" to "survivors of sexual assault." She typed: "I fully support survivors of sexual assault coming forward.
