Corrie’s oldest characters may not return to filming for months

evoke.ieCoronation Street showrunners have already admitted that if filming doesn’t resume next month the show could go off air by the end of June.
Now we’ve been hit with another blow, that when filming finally does return some of the most beloved characters might not be coming back for a while.
This is due to the current global pandemic and the fact that older people are more vulnerable and so in an attempt to keep them safe, they may not be on our screens for the foreseeable.
This includes cast members Barbara Knox, Sue Nicholls and Bill Roache who play the characters Ken Barlow, Rita Sullivan and Audrey Roberts.
