Katie McGlynn has said playing Coronation Street's Sinead Tinker has made her value the NHS. The 26-year-old's character finally lost her battle with cervical cancer in the ITV soap in October after Katie spent 7-years as an actress on the cobbles.
In order to research her role she worked closely with nurses and other care professionals and she has now shared that doing this has given her an appreciation for the medical staff in the NHS.
She has praised the "selfless" front line care staff and commended them for "putting their lives on the line" to help others.
