Former Coronation Street star Georgia May Foote has gone public with her illness which sees pale white patches develop across her skin.
The condition is called vitiligo and the 31 year old has been battling the disease for the past two years. It's the same illness that king of pop Michael Jackson suffered from and there is no known cure.
Essentially, those with the condition suffer from a lack of melanin, which is the pigment in skin.This causes the pale white patches to appear, which mostly affect the face, neck, hands and skin creases.Taking to Instagram the actress posted a series of images to her story where she explained how vitiligo affected her.
She said: "As you can see the pigment on my skin has disappeared.The reason for this happening is still unknown although there are a few factors they think cause it. "The saddest part?
